2/26/10: For me, it has been quite confusing to try figure out what is happening, because there is so much going on all at once, now. The Earth is in a constant state of flux and I feel like I always have multiple symptoms coming from different areas. Sometimes the sensory symptoms I receive are related to an event that is not directly related to an earth change, but to a terrorist attack, a plane crash, etc. I can usually tell the difference, but not always. For me, sadness and grief usually come when loss of life is indicated. For almost a week before the 2004 asian tsunami I would burst into tears for no reason what so ever, and head to the nearest bathroom and sob uncontrollably. When my son asked me why I was crying, all I could say was that I felt as though thousands of parents had just lost their children...that was the extent of the grief I felt. The same thing happened for a week or so prior to 9/11. I had nightmares and would awaken, sobbing and shaking, without understanding why. I thought I was really going crazy, and I became quite afraid for my own sanity. Then, once the event took place, the symptoms left.
It's Hard to be sensitive in this world, yet shutting down is not the answer, either. i wonder how many people with addictions are actually simply very sensitive but don't know what to do with it or how to work with it, so when it gets too painful, they try to shut it down (medicate it). I applaud you for your sensitivity, and for having the courage to keep your hearts and minds open, in spite of the difficulties in doing so. This sensitivity and awareness is a product of an evolved heart and mind, and it is Necessary & Vital for the evolution of humanity. Maybe as more people become sensitive, that sensitivity will serve to act as a feedback loop. When we (humanity as a whole) become more aware of our connection/unity with all of creation and we can perceive the subtle psychic changes that take place when things are out of sync, we (humanity) will be able to make adjustments before things get out of balance, so that it is no longer necessary for these large and destructive events to take place. It is part of humanity's evolutionary destiny to drop the limited idea that we are separate from each other and from creation. This is why we, as sensitives, can perceive events prior to when the event itself takes place. On some level our minds have become more subtle, and more able to perceive what is occuring within the unified field of consciousness. Everything is connected, mostly in unseen ways, but perceivable to those who are sensitive enough to understand and to trust their own receptivity. This brings wisdom, and wisdom can most certainly change the world, when coupled with Love and compassion. Oh My God, I can't believe i have gabbed on and on this way....I am so sorry to be so long winded! Please forgive my verbosity, and feel free to press the delete button if this is too long and boring. It's just such a great forum to explore the nature of this work that we do as sensitives, and I think it is important to share our thoughts and experiences on being sensitive, in addition to what that sensitivity yields for each of us. We each have our own way of dealing with and utilizing this sensitivity, and it may be helpful to future generations and to each other if we talk with each other about it. I now have a sensitive child, and I am finding that it is really important to explore these issues, so that the next generation of great sensitives is prepared to understand it and work with it in a balanced and harmonious way. By sharing our experiences with being sensitive, we can make the lives of the next generations of sensitives easier. What do you think?
