I recently had a dream in which I met an old friend from school. The dream was brief and to the point. My friend looked at me directly and said in a matter of fact tone of voice: "You can kiss Human Rights goodbye!" I then awoke. An example where this has happened already is with TSA insisting that, if we want to travel by plane, we must give up a certain right to privacy, going through their new personal inspection policy. Their new policy requires passengers and airline personnel to submit to an advanced imaging scanner(which emits radiation & enables TSA agent to see your private parts) or a full body pat down. In a few cases, not only passengers, but also pilots are refusing to do this. Of course, if they refuse to go through these new security procedures, they don't get to fly. I think we're all for airport security, but why can't TSA come up with something more creative that is less invasive than these new procedures are?
I believe we all have to be more aware of our human rights and not allow them to be stolen out from under us. If our government is going to implement something that is viewed as possibly infringing on our Human Rights, We the People have a right to know before it happens so we can be part of the decision making process.
